Many people I’ve talked to have heard about Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), however everyone seems to have a different use for it. Google it, and you’ll find uses ranging from a cure for indigestion to making your hair healthier and flake free. And in reality this supplement does come with a long list of benefits, some which can be really beneficial when exercising. For example, the acidity of ACV can actually help counteract the lactic acid buildup we get when working out and help relieve exhaustion due to the potassium, enzyme and amino acid makeup. In addition, ACV has also been thought of as a way to help with joint pain and stiffness and even bolster your immune system! And the list really does go on and on. Typically ACV is purchased in liquid form but can be found sometimes in pill form. A couple tablespoons a day should suffice, but remember this is vinegar so don’t expect the most pleasant taste! If you can’t handle the taste then look for it in pill form, which will typically come in 285mg tablets.
