Do you charge initiation or monthly fees?
No. We are not a gym. Clients only pay for sessions with their expert personal trainer. We also encourage clients to use our cardio equipment anytime at absolutely no cost.
How often do clients workout with a trainer?
This will depend on your individual goals. We tailor our programs to each client. However, typically our clients train 3-4 times per week with a trainer. Obviously, working out more often will lead to quicker results.
How do your workouts compare to other fitness centers?
We center our training around time-tested, scientifically proven training methods and design each program to the specific abilities, limitations and goals of each client. We incorporate a variety of different training styles into our workouts, including resistance training, cross-training, kickboxing, etc. Muscle confusion (doing different exercises often) helps prevent plateaus and increases the likelihood of long-term success. Plus it keeps the workout fun and energized.
Do you have cardio equipment?
Yes, we have a spacious cardio room with state-of-the-art treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and stairclimbers.
*These may vary by location.
Do you provide cardio programs?
Yes! NexGen IGNITE™ was created after more than 10 years of study, and practical application with thousands of clients. This patent pending program was designed to significantly reduce the confusion most people experience when deciding which type of cardio to do, and gives you step-by-step instruction to guarantee you are reaching your fat burning potential.
What if I need to reschedule a session?
No problem! We cap our client base to allow for more flexible scheduling.
How long are sessions?
Our sessions last 45 minutes. They are efficient and fast paced (depending on your fitness level). New research shows that resistance training that lasts longer than 45 minutes has a negative impact on muscles and hormonal balance. Training beyond this point will actually cause cortisol to increase, which causes muscle breakdown.
Do you offer nutritional guidance and diets?
Yes. Nutrition is the most important part of any exercise program. We will educate you, answer any of your questions about proper nutrition, and provide tons of accountability! Through the use of our iPhone and Android app NexGen NUTRITION™ we are able to monitor your intake and even have the ability to review it remotely to ensure you are staying on track with the recommendations we have put in place.
Can you test my metabolism?
Yes. Testing each client’s resting metabolic rate (RMR) is essential to our personal training and NexGen NUTRITION™ programs. This testing will help us identify the number of calories you burn each day and subsequently how many calories you should be consuming. This test is included in your program for free!
Why do you limit the size of group training sessions?
We limit our group fitness training sessions to 4 individuals to provide the highest quality sessions and accountability our clients have come to expect. Smaller groups allow our trainers to focus on each person in the group.
How is NexGen Fitness working to ensure my health and safety?
